Bulk send for e-signatures: limits and pricing compared

By the nodshake team. Published 14 October 2026, updated 14 October 2026.

Where a limit is published, bulk send runs from 250 recipients (Dropbox Sign) to 1,000 per send. How each copy is counted matters more: Zoho Sign works out at 5 credits a recipient ($0.50) and PandaDoc uses one credit. DocuSign, Dropbox Sign and Adobe counting or limits are not established.

Key points

  • Limits per send: Dropbox Sign 250, SignWell 500, Zoho Sign 300 on the web and 1,000 on the API, BoldSign and PandaDoc 1,000. DocuSign's and Adobe's limits are not established.
  • At DocuSign, BoldSign and SignWell each recipient gets their own copy to sign.
  • A 1,000-recipient Zoho Sign API send is 5,000 credits, $500 in credits on top of the Enterprise plan (our arithmetic from 5 credits per envelope).
  • Bulk send is a paid tier or add-on almost everywhere; BoldSign's add-on price is not established.

Working out the cost of one send

  • Zoho Sign: 1,000 recipients is 5,000 credits, $500 in credits, on top of the Enterprise plan.[3][9]
  • PandaDoc: a 1,000-recipient CSV uses 1,000 credits.[8]
  • DocuSign: whether each copy counts against the allowance is not established, and its pricing table lists bulk send both ways on Advanced, so ask before you plan around it.[1]

What to ask any vendor, and where nodshake fits

  • Does each recipient count as an envelope, a request or a credit?
  • What happens to the send if you run out partway?
  • Are recipients' answers merged into one record, or does each copy have its own?
  • Is bulk send in your plan or an add-on?

nodshake Business / API starts from $0.30 per signed document. Volume pricing is agreed in writing. Bulk sending is available on request. See nodshake for business and the per-envelope comparison.

Questions

How many recipients can I bulk send to?
It depends on the vendor: 250 at Dropbox Sign, 500 at SignWell, 1,000 at BoldSign and PandaDoc (per CSV), and 300 on the web or 1,000 on the API at Zoho Sign. DocuSign's and Adobe's limits are not established.
Does each bulk recipient use up an envelope?
At PandaDoc each uses one credit and at Zoho Sign 5 credits (our arithmetic). For DocuSign, Dropbox Sign and Adobe it is not established.
Do bulk recipients sign the same document?
No. At DocuSign, BoldSign and SignWell each recipient receives their own copy to sign.
